About

Our Treatment Program

Treatment Philosophy

We believe that management of symptoms and control of basic life concerns (such as housing, transportation, clothing) must be addressed before treatment can be effective. We help remove these distractions to allow you to focus on your recovery.

With symptoms and life concerns brought under control, you can direct your energy toward achieving sobriety through participation in our progressive treatment programs.

Symptom Management

When battling the cravings that drive addictive behavior, it is difficult to focus on making the behavioral and social changes needed to overcome addiction. To address this obstacle, we employ a method called Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

The goal of MAT is to recover from addiction. It does NOT replace one addictive drug with another. It provides a safe, controlled level of medication to overcome the use of a problem opioid. MAT includes initial physical assessment and ongoing monitoring to help ensure proper and safe use of the prescribed medication. MAT is considered to be a very effective treatment method when used correctly but it requires commitment and complete cooperation in the medical monitoring process (doctor visits, urine screens, nurse assessments etc.) and full participation and attendance in all group and individual counseling sessions.

Management of Life Concerns

Relief from the stresses of basic life management concerns is addressed through our Case Management Program. We understand that many clients can use help in dealing with basic life issues such as housing, food, transportation and other basic components of living. Our case management team can help you assess your situation, identify your needs and organize resources that may provide solutions to allow you to focus on achieving your goal of sobriety.

Treatment Program

Cornerstone Project provides evidenced-based treatment through Intensive and Standard Outpatient Level of Care options. Level of care is based on American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria which is the foundation for the individualized treatment services we provide to all of our clients. Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) is designed to provide more structured treatment. Client’s participating in IOP will spend between 10-15 hours a week in treatment working with Physicians, Nurses, Therapists and Case Managers to address stabilization through all aspects of daily functioning. Client’s participating in Standard Outpatient Programming (SOP) will generally require a less structured format of treatment and spend between 2-5 hours a week in our program.

Medication is prescribed for symptom management and to assist the client in gaining the stabilization needed to successfully engage in treatment. All medications prescribed by our physicians are closely monitored and evaluated by our team of medical professionals. Medication can be utilized to sustain long-term maintenance in recovery during all levels of our treatment programming.
